In collaboration with APSARA National Authority, TotalEnergies Marketing (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. did initiate and signed an MoU for a tree-planting project on 8.5 hectares in Angkor Archeological Park in June 2021.
By continuously and actively developing the provided land (land preparation, building a tree nursery station for sapling and production of fertilizer, water pumps powered by solar, building & installation of signage, etc.), with support from APSARA National Authority, we have a consent to organize and reveal the “Angkor TotalEnergie Park” on 26th March 2022 at Banteay Prei Temple. The event will be presided by HE Dr. PHOEURNG Sackona - Minister of Culture & Fine Arts, HE Jacques PELLE – French Ambassador in Cambodia, HE PRAK Sophorn – Vice Governor of Siem Reap, HE YIT Chandaroat - Vice Director of APSARA National Authority, Ms Dinah KUMAR – Managing Director TotalEnergies Marketing Cambodia, venerable monks, employees as well as local authorities. The total number of participants was about 120 people.
All VIP & distinguished guests and participants brought and planted a tree each for a souvenir at “Angkor TotalEnergie Park” and paid a visit to the Tree nursery station, after revealing the signage.
In addition to multiple activities for the environment, this is another concrete outcome that TotalEnergies Marketing Cambodia has achieved regarding the climate ambition “To Get to Net Zero by 2050”. Moreover, all trees are watered by solar water pumps.
